Construction has commenced

New roundabouts to provide access to SouthPoint have already been constructed from the A350 West Cepen Way and the B4528 Patterdown Road.

These are now open to the public and will be connected by a spine road through the site (“Showell Avenue”). Construction has commenced with completion set for late 2025, enabling access to the business park. Incoming utilities and drainage are also being installed to facilitate serviced plots.

Work Starts at SouthPoint Business Park
– June 2022

Baylis Estates, developer of SouthPoint Business Park in Chippenham, are pleased to announce the commencement of work on the project. The first stage is the construction of a new roundabout access on the A350 West Cepen Way. The roundabout has been designed to accommodate the future dualling of the A350 for which Wiltshire Council has secured funding. Construction work commenced at the end of June 2022 and is programmed for completion in Summer 2023. Installation of other primary infrastructure and estate roads can then commence. Construction of buildings to meet specific occupier requirements will follow in 2023/24 onwards. Properties can be made available on either leasehold or freehold terms.

Wiltshire Council secures £75m Chippenham 'relief road' funds

AFTER news that Wiltshire Council has secured £75m to build a relief road in Chippenham, protestors have renewed their objections to the plan which would also bring 7,500 new houses to the town.
